About the Opportunity
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-impact VP, US Sales to spearhead commercial growth and business expansion across the United States. Representing an established, high-capacity international manufacturer with more than 50 years of leadership in folding carton packaging, labels, continuous forms, paper bags, commercial print, and digital printing, this executive will own the U.S. go-to-market strategy.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer / General Manager, this is an individual-contributor, hands-on commercial leadership role. The mandate requires an active 80% focus on new business development and account acquisition (hunter mentality) and 20% on strategic account management and retention.
Key Responsibilities

U.S. Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion

Define and execute the U.S. commercial roadmap aligned with overarching corporate growth goals.

Identify high-value vertical segments, target customer tiers, and geographic clusters for penetration.

Partner closely with executive leadership (COO / GM) to establish revenue targets, pipeline goals, and market development priorities.

Deliver commercial intelligence, pipeline velocity tracking, and accurate revenue forecasts.

New Business Development (80% Focus)

Drive end-to-end B2B sales cycles: prospecting, cold outreach, qualifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing high-volume corporate accounts.

Build and maintain a robust, high-conversion sales pipeline from the ground up.

Map and engage senior decision-makers (Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing) across key sectors such as consumer goods, food & beverage, retail, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.

Uncover cross-selling opportunities and expand into adjacent packaging/printing applications.

Strategic Account Management (20% Focus)

Cultivate enduring relationships with high-value enterprise accounts.

Protect core revenue while expanding share of wallet through value-added product engineering and responsive customer support.

Position the company as an integrated, agile nearshore manufacturing partner.

Pricing, Margin Integrity & Negotiation

Lead commercial contract negotiations, formal RFPs/RFQs, and customer proposals.

Manage pricing structures, volume brackets, logistics, and delivery terms within established guidelines.

Protect gross margins while remaining competitive in the U.S. industrial market.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements:

U.S. Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Location: Current residence in the United States (Texas residency strongly preferred).

Track Record: 7 to 10+ years of proven B2B industrial sales experience with demonstrable success opening new logos and scaling territories from scratch (hunter profile).

Language: Native or bilingual English communication and negotiation skills.

Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the U.S. to visit clients, attend trade events, and occasionally travel to production facilities in Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications:

Direct commercial experience in folding carton packaging, flexible packaging, labels, commercial printing, paper conversion, or corrugated solutions.

Active network of procurement and supply chain contacts within U.S. manufacturing, retail, or FMCG sectors.

Working proficiency or conversational fluency in Spanish (valuable for seamless collaboration with Mexico-based engineering and plant operations).

Compensation & Benefits
-
Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 USD gross annual base salary.

Quarterly Bonus: Up to 15 days’ equivalent base pay per quarter tied to milestone delivery.

Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 60 days’ equivalent base pay (2 months) tied to revenue and gross margin targets (estimated overall variable upside: 2 to 3 months of additional base compensation per year).

Work Arrangement: 100% remote working model with full coverage of approved business travel and client entertainment expenses.
